Sports has always been around. Throughout our childhood including the teen years and into the adult years we compete as long as possible. Admit it, when you were in grade school, Gym was one of your favorite classes. I know it was mine. And who didn’t spend their summers playing baseball, tennis, basketball, swimming or what ever sport was your favorite.
I was fortunate enough to grow up across the street from a very large field, complete with playground equipment, plus a baseball and a softball field that doubled as an ice skating rink in the winter. Believe me, we and by we I mean ALL the neighborhood kids took full advantage all year long.
As sports fans, we encourage those around us, and get behind the success of the great athletes we admire. We cheer for our children – my daughter was quite the athlete. She played softball, basketball, volleyball and is still a very good bowler. We also support our favorite local sports teams, players and even travel to support them.
